With a perfect balance of speed and handling, the BMC Teammachine SLR01 Disc is the choice of some of the fastest cyclists in the world. This bike has seen success at the highest level of competition, winning the Tour de France, Olympics, and many Classics. Still, BMC is working tirelessly to make the Teammachine even better thanks to feedback from professional riders and a supercomputer algorithm that tested tens of thousands of frame variations to settle on the optimal design.
The Teammachine thrives wherever it goes. It has no problems handling cobblestone or mountains with speed and precision. This bike has outstanding linear speed but can also turn and climb very well thanks to a stiff and lightweight frame. Using BMC’s Tuned Compliance Concept (TCC) and a premium carbon build, it performs well in the toughest conditions.
The BMC SLR01 Disc frame has an altered fork which compensates for wind forces and the thru-axle. Thanks to ACE Technology which ran over 34,000 possible frame iterations, BMC was able to find the perfect way to accommodate a disc fork while only adding 18 grams. Most disc builds will add 60+ grams to the bikes total mass.
To accommodate disc brakes, the back end must be extended but BMC found a way to do so by only 8mm. This allows the bike to remain nimble while making room for the comfortable brake modulation that comes with discs. More confidence in your braking power on the road will result in a willingness and confidence to hit higher speeds.
The design of the BMC Teammachine SLR01 Disc sticks with the classic BMC simple but sleek look. If you choose to use the Di2, the junction box can be tucked away, out of sight in the frame. An internal cable guiding system makes servicing simple maintaining a sleek look. The Integrated Cockpit System (ICS) allows for adjustability and seamless cable integration.
The BMC Team realizes that to continue winning, they must evolve. That is what they did with the BMC Teammachine SLR01 Disc by finding a way to accommodate the comfort and reliability of disc brakes while adding a minimal amount of mass and back end length. If you are looking for top performance in your next race, the BMC Teammachine SLR01 Disc has you covered.
